The cancellation was caused by the confirmed cases of Swine flu that has caused illness and death in Mexico and elsewhere throughout the world. This decision has been made by Carnival Cruise Lines and is beyond our control. According to a Carnival spokesperson, there were no viable 4 day itinerary options available for us given the current situation in Mexico. SE/SW board members and this year's hostess worked diligently to come up with a compromising resolution which would make the meeting possible, but our attempts were unsuccessful. Carnival has come up with options for those booked with them. Below you will find a summary of options:
If you have any questions, please contact a Carnival representative at 1-800-CARNIVAL so they can assist you with your needs. We do plan to have a conference at a later date.
